As a participant, the City of Tampa created a square for the All-America-City quilt, which includes squares from all of the 31 cities. The City of Tampa square depicts the Gasparilla ship and the Tampa skyline.

The Parade of the Pirates and Pirate Fest is slated for January 30, 2010. New for 2010, the Gasparilla Parade of the Pirates will have a new parade route, bringing the festivities right down into downtown Tampa to culminate at the new Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park.

The City of Tampa will be closed Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27, for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Payment for the after school program for the week of November 30 will be due on Thursday, November 19. If you have any questions, please see on site staff.

Automated Scale at McKay Bay Opens for City Vehicles - New scale decreases wait time at facility for users
Tampa, Fla. (November 10, 2009) —The Department of Solid Waste & Environmental Program Management is pleased to announce the opening of a new scale lane at the McKay Bay Weigh Station that is automated and does not require an attendant. Currently, this lane is for City of Tampa vehicles only. However, by diverting City vehicles to the automated lane it will decrease wait time for all other weigh-station users.
